A project by PATRICK BEAULIEU
with ALEXIS PERNET
Between summer 2017 and 2018, Patrick Beaulieu realized the performative excursion EL PERDIDO. Travelling with the geographer Alexis Pernet on board a 1977 Dodge camper van, they set off on a journey in search of a non-existent place called Forgotten Road. Continuously and deliberately lost, their trajectory was entirely dictated by the locals met on the road who guided them to nowhere.
My Collaboration was accompanying Patrick in his first poetic incursion in the context of the 34th International Symposium of Contemporary Art of Baie-Saint-Paul (2016). In the search for ''le Rang de l’Infini'' (The Row of the Infinity) asking the inhabitants of our route to help us find this row because we were lost, The gentle people told us where to go. but They didn’t know this address was invented by patrick. the strange thing is that in a fate of the Hazar we arrive to an infinite road between the mountains.
